Nevada High School Ethics Bowl

  February 4th, 2023

About.

What is the Ethics Bowl?

A stimulating, collaborative and competitive event open to all high schools from Nevada and the surrounding region.

Ethics Bowl matches pit two teams together in competitive (yet collaborative) discussion. Competitors work to evaluate case studies that deal with complex ethical situations.

Schools enter teams composed of 3-7 students. Students from grades 9-12 are eligible to participate. Judging panels are drawn from the community and include members of the University of Nevada's philosophy faculty. The format is designed to facilitate an engaging and inclusive discussion.

The winning team of the Nevada competition will advance to compete nationally. To find out more about the National High School Ethics Bowl, and to access training resources, click here

In 2023, the Nevada High School Ethics Bowl will take place on the 4th of February on the campus of the University of Nevada, Reno. It will be the first ever Nevada-based ethics bowl, and we are very excited to bring the competition, which is a highly successful event in many states, to Nevada.
Where future leaders come to talk about some of the most pressing ethical issues of today.
